I am all about that bass, no treble.
Only 1 maybe 2 employees wearing masks. Ones not wearing masks reached across you and delivered food with no gloves.
It takes FOREVER to get food. I ordered a salad and it took 30+ minutes to get it. Their excuse was that they only have one cook and that they were busy, yet the place was pretty empty. There was staff just hanging out in the restaurant watching tv. Get up and help your kitchen staff out if he's that backed up with orders. I can only imagine how the service is when they actually do get busy. Bottom line you need more cooks. Your customers should not have to wait that long for food.
Great food, lots of character.
Balcony seating with awesome views and great ambience. The staff is always friendly and there is usually live outdoor music on Friday and Saturday. The food is reasonable for the price and they have very good green Chile along with several good spicy dishes including delicious green Chile stew. A UNIQUE DINING EXPERIENCE YOU SHOULDNT MISS.
Great little restaurant with live music and friendly locals :) Located in the heart of Jemez Springs
The pancakes with the green chilies and bacon in them were sublime.
The owners are terrible people and should be taken out back to be shown some manners.
So I am a local to this place, and I would recommend stopping here for sure. However, I want to be fair and share some of the downsides. It takes a really long time to get your food. The times I have tried for breakfast, it is usually an hour wait. Even if it isn't busy there. Eating outside is nice, but there are chickens and goats in the yard nearby, so it can be a bit smelly/loud. Pricing is not terrible, but it is not what I would call cheap either. Lastly, there is only one waitress, so if things are busy, that is hard. That said, this is a local favorite. Their pie is delicious, the one waitress is such a sweetie, and the ambience is exactly what you want in a small town restaurant. The food is really good, it is very local with fresh green chile, the New Mexican staple. If you are driving through the mountains, this is the place to stop.
Good food, friendly service. Their Fiesta pancake is delicious.
kinda funky but fun. hot springs chic.very friendly. food is just averagerestaurant-grade but the peopleare engaging.
Fresh, tasty food from scratch. Awesome, relaxed atmosphere. Family friendly. Creative menu. Lovely owners and staff. Very inviting and welcoming place to be. Live music at times. My wife and I loved our time there! Highly recommended!!!
Very fun, relaxed place. Good food, good music. All away from the city. Nice patio and live music.
Honestly we are pretty content and chill people, it was the fact that the server left us for more than 30 minutes plus the orange juice was definitely spoiled is why I’m giving this place the rating that I am, the server didn’t even have anything to write down an order on which I can understand some people can remember orders but then left and didn’t come back
It's a cute little place, I went there a few days ago. The staff was a bit disheveled and the food could use a bit more presentation at least. But you only have 2 other options around here I believe, so do with that as you will
Weird, dark and dusty. The wait staff gives you that authentic small town feel. The food is actually amazing and in huge portions. Only place we stop at in Jemez after a long hike.
Had a nice meal. Was pleasantly surprised at this out of the way watering hole
The food is ok, but the Sunday we were there they had a two man band playing loudly we could not hear what we were saying. The food waa ok. Atmosphere was good, but the music was loud
When you're looking for an adventure close to home...you'll want to roam on over to the Stage Stop in Jemez Springs for amazing home cooked meals, fresh mountain air, friendly folks, outdoor activities, and fantastic music. Spiral Pilots featured on Sept 23, 2017.
Fun. Live music. Local.
Food was delicious. Service slow. But in his defence: this is New Mexico country and everything is in slow mo. Takes some adjusting but what a beautiful place it is and very close to the jemez hot springs. Had a hamburger on top of spinach with mushrooms. French fries were hand made but too salty. So if you go just tell him salt on the side.
Wonderful surroundings, terrific food, friendly staff, great laid back vibe! Try the Blue Corn Celebration pancakes, they were fabulous! Delicious eggs were perfectly cooked to order. The sausage is made by hand by the owner. So are the different chili sauces. The vegan chili sauce was yummy and the posole was addictive! I highly recommend this unique place.
My family likes to stop here for a late lunch when touring in the Jemez Mountains. It's a funky place and the food is really very good. We have always enjoyed our stop here. I like their salads. They have gluten free options like veggie burgers and gluten free buns. The downside is there is only one bathroom and there is always a line. There are farm animals next to the outdoor patio. Dogs are allowed on the outside patio. It's a great place to sit outside and eat some tasty food. It's not fancy. They have pie.
Love views, staff and food great
Friendly service and great food! The green chilli stew is amazing and their cinnamon buns are a good desert! Animals allowed on the patio and they have goats and chickens next door 😻😻
We had breakfast here a couple times while staying in Jemez for the weekend. The food was amazing! The staff is super friendly and welcoming. You really feel at home when you sit down and eat. (The pozole here is so tasty). This restaruant has a lot of character and I loved the live music outside while having the beautiful mountains in background. This made our anniversary experience even more memorable. This will be our first stop to eat next time we visit Jemez again!
Authentic atmosphere, friendly people, excellent and unique food choices. If you're driving by, definitely make a stop!
If you want local and rustic this it the place, no doubt so many things have transpired hear over the ages. The land of enchantment fits this spot. It has a "back in time" feel and the food is very good, homemade and healthy American/New Mexican food. I finished with a piece of apple pie and a refill on my coffee last visit. I go to the Stage Stop for brunch the morning after visiting the San Antonio hot springs off a FR from the tiny town of Cueva just about 15 mins away from Jemez Springs—not an adventure for the faint hearted nor low-clearance vehicle.
Great service, awesome food & atmosphere. I highly recommend it. Especially the goats & chickens!!
GREAT PLACE!! Always my favorite place to take friends and family while in Jemez. This place has the neatest decor with a home feel that's just like your grandma's place, a place like home. Everything is fresh and homemade daily, even right down to the eggs. How does it get any more fresher than that? The owner is always on site with a very friendly staff. On some evenings the place unwinds and let's loose with their open mic jam sessions and anyone can join in on the fun!!
I ate at another place in town and this place is hands down, the best option. A great meal with hand cut fries. Burger was cooked perfectly and not smothered in sauce (a tactic used by a neighboring restaurant to hide flavors and imperfections) so you tasted everything good in the burger.
Food was good, staff was friendly but there were animals and FLYS everywhere. I'm pretty sure if the health department came in they would have to make some changes.
Seriously some of the best food we've ever had. Amazingly delicious, with friendly service and great ambiance. Highly recommend.
Best stop in Jemez Springs. Be sure to double check their hours but absolutely worth a stop for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Thank you for your hospitality Connie!
Awesome place 👍
Cute little deli, can grab a quick bite and enjoy the view.
Extremely slow service. Waited 30 minutes for 2 bowls of chili, and there was only one order ahead of ours and the place was practically empty. When were told the chili was not too spicy but it was really really spicy and we couldn't even finish it.
Slow good. So slow good.
We sat for more 30 minutes on a Saturday afternoon with no service. Not even a "we'll be right with you", no drinks, nothing. We ended up across the street at Los Ojos where our order was taken immediately.
Atmosphere! Beautiful Sunday, lovely guitarist/singer and out of this world sandwich. Loved it!!!
This eclectic restaurant offers great food for the family, a TV that's usually showing old westerns, has locals from the community talking back and forth, and a back patio that allows you to bring your furry friends! Don't forget to check out the chickens and goats below deck.
Great food and great different selections... Great people too... Will return....
Amazing food. Green chile celebration pancakes and vegan chilli are highly recommend.
Quaint dining experience. Had the Frito pie and loved it. Everything is homemade and tasty!
Amazing place, been around since 1930, best food around. Everything made fresh, come in and try the Celebration pancakes, green chili n bacon with chedder cheese
Great breakfast on a motorcycle ride.
The patio was great, dog friendly with chickens, lots of shade, and a babbling stream. The food was excellent stove hot when delivered tableside and very delicious. Try the green chili stew! Be sure not to be in a hurry, service is very very slow and not very organized. It took us almost 90 min. to receive our food and we were the only ones there when we arrived right after opening.
Too expensive, 11.00 for omelet, just not good food. Wait staff young, inexperienced. Should have waited till restaurant across street open. Cash only.
The blue corn tortilla pancakes are otherworldly -- do it with the Christmas salsa. Some of the best pancakes I've ever eaten. The egg dishes are also very good. Staff is welcoming and there's a ton of fun animals right near the outdoor seating area. Great place to relax for a filling and delicious weekend breakfast.
Great food. Great service
Great authentic food, friendly staff and great live music playing. The restaurant is set in a beautiful scene with the New Mexico mountains in the back ground. Super great and quaint little place. I love family owned businesses and this one gets a 5 star from us. You have to try the Wrangler and Mike's Green chili stew!
